I graduated from OCADU in 2008, with a Bachelor of Design, majoring in Ceramics. I have been immersed in my craft since graduation, working on my own line of products, teaching, working as a Studio Technician, and taking on a wide variety of commissions over the years. You can learn more about me and my work by visiting www.filipaceramics.com
I was first given the opportunity to teach a pottery class when I was working as a Studio Assistant shortly after graduation. I wasn't sure if I would like teaching, but from the very first class I knew I had found something special. It is the most wonderful feeling to be the person to help others express their creativity through clay. I have taught a variety of classes from beginner to advanced adult students to youth and children.
I will bring my knowledge and passion for clay to you! I take care of the setup, materials, firings and finished pieces - all you have to do is gather your loved ones and sit back in the comfort of your own home to enjoy the experience!
I will be following the Provincial safety guidelines at the time of each event. Participants and myself may be required to do the following: wear a mask (even if outdoors), social distancing (2m apart) and hand sanitizing. Due to the nature of this pandemic, guidelines may change from one day to the next - if this is the case, an email will be sent to the event host outlining any changes to safety procedures.
Be the first in line to book an event date and find out about new packages and projects!!
